PROTON INSPIRA
Nah, confirm!.. Inspira adalah nama bagi model terbaru Proton yang digemparkan sebelum ini iaitu Waja replacement model. Memang menarik bagi model Inspira ini. Jom kita lihat pada broucher.. Dengan bumper yang agak “garang” dan lebih stylo membuatkan ianya sesuai untuk semua golongan. Jadi pasaran tidak terhad kepada golongan muda sahaja. Inspira juga dilengkapi dengan “Trunk Remote Control dan Paddle Shifter..”
Disamping itu juga, Inspira dilengkapi dengan pengawal suhu automatik sepenuhnya dan dari segi keselamatan.. Proton telah meyakinkan pengguna bahawa tahap keselamatan badan kenderaan adalah pada tahap “5-star” dan Inspira diberi penyelenggaraan percuma selama 2 tahun.
Mulai hari ini, Proton Inspira sudah boleh ditempah dengan bayaran pendahuluan sebanyak RM1,000 dan tempoh serahan dijangka 1 hingga 1 1/2 bulan. Inspira juga tidak menggunakan enjin Campro tetapi ianya menggunakan enjin MIVEC.
Soal harga pula, Inspira boleh didapati pada harga permulaan RM79,xxx dan buat masa sekarang, hanya model dengan warna merah dan putih sahaja disediakan. Harga adalah seperti berikut.. ( tidak pasti.. tunggu sehingga pra-pelancaran untuk kesahihan)

PROTON WAJA REPLACEMENT MODEL TO USE MITSUBISHI LANCER FORTIS BASE MODEL
PROTON Holdings Bhd is strengthening its presence in the industry of local automotive model through multi-purpose (MPV) Exora, will produce another newmodel sedan by July next, with the introduction of price around RM80, 000 per unit. Model which will replace the Waja and said able to increase more market share in Proton local automotive industry and international, will display a copy of version Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0 GT is upgraded.
According to the nearest source, re-entry ‘feature Mitsubishi’dalam Proton is the result of cooperation development engineering Proton and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC), which also shares holders.
“Model that will be used to replace the Proton Waja this will have some cosmetic changes to internal and external compared to model Lancer 2.0 GT in existingmarkets.
“Among them, it will use the engine with a capacity of slightly smaller, namely 1.8-liter, internal components using local product vendors and selected features which can make the model able to offer more competitive prices.
“Hence, new models that are not only seen best to provide competing against vehicles sedan by other foreign automotive companies, but it is also able to returnimages of Proton before,” he said at Berita Harian in Kuala Lumpur.
The source explained, the new production model with 1.8 liter engine power is viewed best catalyst for companies in the automotive nasionalitu meet changing needs and appetite buyer, especially to young generation. He said, Proton is getting strong support from MMC, is not expected to encounter any problems in meeting demand, since the Waja replacement model will be installed in the same factory at Shah Alam, Selangor or in Tanjung Malim, Perak.
“Looking to the agreement between Proton and MMC will not be a problem for Proton to assemble, sell and providing after sales services for Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0 GT Malaysia version.
“This is because MMC has been providing ‘license’ to support technically Proton for using, including installing and, promoting Lancer 2.0 GT will use the Proton brand,” he also added ‘licensing’ includes assistance in releasing components for Lancer 2.0 GT and local support and after sales services.
Currently, the existing model Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0 GT fully imported (CBU) from Japan, is priced at RM120, 598.10 without insurance in this country. Model is distributed by Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia Ltd. MMC is a technical partner and shareholder of Proton when founded in 1983 until the national car manufacturer Proton releases their first car in 1985. However, a group of Japanese financial turmoil causes dispose of it at stake in Proton early 2004.

Lotus Malaysia - F1
Is Lotus finally accepting the Litespeed run/Malaysian backed Lotus F1 Team as their own? It would seem so because Hethel has chose now to launch the Exige S Type 72, named after the Lotus Type 72 Formula One car which achieved 20 Grand Prix victories between 1970 and 1975. To commemorate a return of the Lotus name in F1 perhaps?
The Type 72 won three Formula 1 Constructors’ Championships (1970, 1972, 1973) and two Drivers’ World Championships (Jochen Rindt in 1970 and Emerson Fittipaldi in 1972). The Exige S wears the famous black and gold Type 72 livery and is finished by the same sign writer who painted the racing cars.
The 935kg Exige S sprints to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds, before maxing out at 233 km/h. It is a powered by a mid-mounted Toyota sourced 1.8-litre supercharged engine with 220 bhp/215 Nm and an 8500rpm redline.
The Exige S Type 72 comes with black micro fibre ProBax sports seats with gold stitching and a special build plate commemorating one of the F1 car’s 20 GP wins. The Sport Pack, which includes a steel main roll hoop, Lotus Traction Control, twin oil coolers and an adjustable front anti-roll bar, is standard.

Is this awesome or is this friggin' awesome?! Someone from Sweden builta full sized replica from a 1973 Lincoln Continental. It took the guy over $1 million US dollars and 3.5 years, 20,000 working hours to complete. The batmobile comes complete with a DVD player, voice recognition, height adjustment, reversing cameras...
