Lotus Malaysia - F1

Is Lotus finally accepting the Litespeed run/Malaysian backed Lotus F1 Team as their own? It would seem so because Hethel has chose now to launch the Exige S Type 72, named after the Lotus Type 72 Formula One car which achieved 20 Grand Prix victories between 1970 and 1975. To commemorate a return of the Lotus name in F1 perhaps?
The Type 72 won three Formula 1 Constructors’ Championships (1970, 1972, 1973) and two Drivers’ World Championships (Jochen Rindt in 1970 and Emerson Fittipaldi in 1972). The Exige S wears the famous black and gold Type 72 livery and is finished by the same sign writer who painted the racing cars.
The 935kg Exige S sprints to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds, before maxing out at 233 km/h. It is a powered by a mid-mounted Toyota sourced 1.8-litre supercharged engine with 220 bhp/215 Nm and an 8500rpm redline.
The Exige S Type 72 comes with black micro fibre ProBax sports seats with gold stitching and a special build plate commemorating one of the F1 car’s 20 GP wins. The Sport Pack, which includes a steel main roll hoop, Lotus Traction Control, twin oil coolers and an adjustable front anti-roll bar, is standard.
Looks really good to these eyes. Gallery is after the jump.

Bilakah masanya untuk salah seorang rakyat Malaysia yang akan menjadi juara dalam Perlumbaan F1 bertaraf dunia ini?

Think luxury cars are dead in this economy? Think again.

As the auto industry gathers at Frankfurt amid one of the worst economic downturns in decades, you'd think that the last thing on an agenda chock full of electrics and hybrids would be luxury cars. Quite the contrary. Just as the Great Depression in the 1930s witnessed the production of some of the greatest classic cars of all time, we are now seeing the introduction of new high-end models that will be judged by future generations as classics in their own right. Here's a sampling.

[Limsimi.com - Johor Bahru Hunts] Updates to Petrol Price in Johor Bahru vs Singapore

Limsimi.com - Johor Bahru Hunts has posted a new item, 'Updates to Petrol Price in Johor Bahru vs Singapore'

Since 1 Sep 2009, there has been an increase in pump prices across Malaysia nationwide. Prices of RON 95 (Research Octane Number 95) and RON 97 (Research

Octane Number 97), the most commonly used petrol grades in Malaysia have increased by 5 sen and 25 sen respectively. This equates to a 2.86% increase in

pump price for RON 95 and a 13.89% increase in price for RON97 petrol.

While the increase in price is still makes Malaysia petrol one of the cheapest in the region, the price increase this time round is pretty sudden, with little reaction time for people to top up their tanks before the price hike. Nothing much for Singaporeans to complain about - the new petrol price in Malaysia still represents a whooping 55% discount compared to Singapore petrol prices. This means that for a full 60 litre tank (assuming you can get across the Singapore custom on an empty tank), you save about S$68.00 if you  (..Read More..)
